Swarleen and Maia story rewrite.
I opened my eyes to darkness. The monotone voice calmly repeated like really annoying robot. Lazily I turned my limb half awake body and stretched out my arm to turn off my frustrating alarm clock. I finally get some time off come on why do I have to wake up so early I wondered curiously to myself. silence deafened my ears as i lay there.
Why is it so dead I thought mysteriously. No sounds of car engines roaring down the road. No kakapos singing sweet songs in the bushy trees nature's own alarm clock. No constant echoes of people getting ready for work. What was happening? I silently ruffled the blankets off my body like bird feathers. Cool crisp Dunedin air approached my body as I slipped on my dressing grown. I silently drifted through the hallway like i’m going through a portal.
Reaching the end of the creaky hall way i placed my newly papered nails onto the silky antique door knob and rotated it to the right the glare was too much for my eyes what was going on ? A misty breeze swallowed me and teleported me into a white wonderland .
